My wife has a very nice piece of furniture is expressly built for her computer and printer. It has a superstructure that allows for books to be placed in shell fashion underneath and for the printer to sit up on top. This piece was originally built around 10 years ago and as such is designed with enough depth to and it allows use of an old cathode ray type of computer monitor. Now that we have purchased a nice desktop computer with a slim line monitor, this piece of office computer furniture is even more helpful as more desk space is free for taking notes.
My point is that in order for a piece of office furniture to be effective and useful in today’s work environment it really needs to have been built with computer technology in mind. To begin with, older desks are not built to accommodate the many tables required for computing. The modern computer desk should have rounded corners for safety, no file doors to get in the way. It should easily accommodate connection to printers, routers and LAN cables. Before you go out and buy just another rectangular office desk, take a look at modern round cornered desk designs that are built to let you work for longer periods of time at your computer.
