Study desk features carefully before you buy

When purchasing a computer desk for your home or office take a good look at that piece of furniture before you choose to buy it. Many computer desks available today were designed for equipment that no longer exists. Specifically we’re referring to computer monitors using large deep cathode ray tubes. Because of this computer desks had special shelves built in and were far deeper than they needed to be.

A recent sampling of computer office desks for sale in the United Kingdom reveals that fully 30% of all items for sale are over five years old and consequently completely unsuitable for today’s computer. The primary difference in requirement is that we are now using flat screen LCD Computer monitors that take up very little space. The same monitors are also much larger in diameter. Hence we need a wider computer desk with no superstructure attached to it. This allows us to set the larger monitor back further and supports a gentler line of sight angle.
