A home office desk is usually completely different than that used for a working office. To begin with in our working office we seldom want attached shelving on our office desk. Obviously we can’t be blocking communication and view in office environments where many people share space.
Office desks for shared space scenarios are now setup as quads with table screens for privacy. Interestingly this is almost a fall back to the traditional British partners desk. Although now, it’s not unusual for four people to work in coordination. Another major difference between a home office desk and one used in a busy workplace is size. Our home office is often shoved into an available corner or cubby and as such cannot support as large a piece of office furniture. Fortunately home office desks come in a complete range of styles and colors so that they can be easily matched to the décor of one’s house.
